I am a humanitarian/development agronomist with extensive field experience across the Levant and Africa. Over the years, I have worked with international organizations leading agricultural initiatives, food security and livelihoods programs, and complex community-based projects in diverse, cross-cultural environments.
As an educator I bring a practical, field-tested approach to teaching, focusing on real-world communication, professional clarity, and the exact vocabulary you need to navigate with.

Education

I hold an Agricultural Engineering degree from the Lebanese University, completed in 2007, with a specialization in Agricultural Economics. I further developed my academic background through a Specialized Master’s in Innovation in World Food Systems at SupAgro, France, completed in 2019. As part of this programme, I undertook an internship at INRA in Corsica, focusing on a Territorial Food Project. My research examined the opportunities and barriers to introducing locally produced cheese into catering services at public institutions. This academic journey connects agricultural economics with food systems innovation and the practical challenges of linking local production to institutional demand. It provides the educational foundation for my professional work in agriculture, food security, and livelihoods, and informs my interest in sharing knowledge through practical examples drawn from both academic research and extensive international humanitarian field experience

I am an agronomist with over 17 years of experience in agriculture, food security, and humanitarian programming across eight countries. I hold an Agricultural Engineering degree from the Lebanese University and a Specialized Master’s in Innovation in World Food Systems from SupAgro, France. Throughout my career, I have delivered practical training, facilitated farmer field schools, and supported staff development within international organizations, including the International Committee of the Red Cross and the Norwegian Refugee Council. My expertise includes sustainable agriculture, orchard management, value chains, livelihoods, and project management. My teaching approach connects technical knowledge with practical examples from diverse field settings, helping learners understand complex concepts and apply them confidently to agricultural challenges, professional responsibilities, and community development projects in practice
