I've been working with a variety of students, ages 7 to 18, for the past three years. I teach Math, Chemistry, Biology, and English. I help students with their homework and get them ready for big exams. I have experience supporting IB students with their courses, besides with the Internal Assessments (IAs) and Extended Essays (EEs), offering guidance on research planning, scientific writing, and alignment with IB assessment criteria. I love teaching, and it makes me happy to help students overcome their academic challenges and see their progress over time.

Mes cours s'adressent aux étudiants en primaire, en secondaire et à l'Université (dépend du cursus et du cours). J'ai eu la chance d'avoir une formation très générale concernant les sciences exactes grâce à mes études d'ingénieur civil. Mes cours peuvent donc concerner la chimie (cinétique, équilibres, bilans de matières etc...), les mathématiques (analyse, algèbre, géométrie, trigonométrie, statistiques, probabilités, équations différentielles etc...) et la physique (électricité, mécanique, thermodynamique etc...). Je demande habituellement avant de commencer les cours particuliers, une description du cours que l'étudiant a, afin que je puisse préparer au mieux les séances.

Mes études m'ont aussi apporté une méthode de travail basée sur l'apprentissage par problème. Ma méthode d'apprentissage est donc surtout basée sur la pratique car le plus important dans les sciences exactes est de savoir résoudre n'importe quel type d'exercice. Et pour cela, il faut en faire le plus possible. Durant mes études je me suis rendu compte que la meilleur manière de comprendre une matière est de faire des exercices dessus. Il faut néanmoins avoir certaines bases. C'est pour cela que j'ai l'habitude de commencer par un petit rappel sur la matière et de fournir un formulaire avec les formules importantes concernant la matière. Ensuite, je résous avec l'étudiant un ou plusieurs exercices types en lui expliquant la marche à suivre. Et enfin, l'étudiant fera lui même des exercices en s'aidant du formulaire (c'est en utiliser des formules qu'on les retient le mieux). Je serai alors là pour diagnostiquer sa compréhension, pour répondre à ses questions et pour l'aider quand cela est nécessaire.

The classes I offer are for students in grades 1 through 6 of high school. I graduated from Sint-Jan Berchmans College in science/mathematics, and I've just finished my master's degree in energy from UCL as a civil engineer, so I've put in a lot of hours of math and science. I'm also a scout leader, hockey coach, and kitesurfing instructor! So, I'm very good with students this age and have extensive experience in pedagogy. Hope to see you soon!

Math teacher gives private lessons in math-statistics and probability.

My teaching has already proven itself with several students that I have already followed and that I continue to follow. It consists of short-term help in overcoming the difficulties of a project or of certain chapters, just as it also consists of continuous monitoring to give students the means to play a role in their successes. Beaucoup d'élèves pensent avoir des problèmes avec les mathématiques et que c'est insurmontable pour eux.
Mais c'est juste que chaque personne est différente et doit donc être aidé à trouver sa façon de comprendre cette manière pour gagner en confiance et en autonomie. Une fois le déclic enclenché les blocages disparaîtront et la suite des études ne sera que plus belle. TOUT le monde est capable d'y arriver.

Je suis pour le moment en poursuite du cursus bachelier solvay. Je donne cours dans mon temps libre car j'adore cela! Je suis quelqu'un de très patient et à l'écoute. En effet, lorsqu'on fait appel à moi, je comprends qu'il y a un élève en difficulté en mathématiques. Ma méthode consiste à cerner quel est l'obstacle à l'apprentissage de l'enfant. Je m'intéresse donc beaucoup à lui et l'écoute plus que n'a le temps de le faire son professeur à l'école. Cette attention permet d'instaurer une confiance qui amènera doucement l'élève vers les maths. En effet, je crois que l'élève qui a besoin d'un prof particulier en maths perçoit cette matière de manière négative. Mon but est donc de le réconcilier avec la matière grâce à l'écoute, la confiance et la patience.

Diplômé en bachelier normale primaire : Je propose une pédagogie individualisée et par le jeu, un soutien dans les différentes matières (français, fle, math, éveil) ou un soutien dans les devoirs scolaires pour les élèves de l'enseignement primaire et secondaire.
