I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. The most important matter that I could write here about is my passion to teach. I've been teaching already for more than 10 years, from kids to adults. I'm a classical pianist, but I am opened to other musical styles. Beatboxing is a relatively unknown discipline, even though it allows for an absolutely incredible musical variety: percussion, whistles, bass, special sounds straight out of an alien movie... our body is an instrument in itself, and learning beatbox is accessible to everyone! (Take a look at some beatboxer videos online, you'll be amazed!) I'll take you step by step, starting with easy and useful sounds, gradually moving towards impressive, fun sounds, or those of your choice. In addition, I practice with you and complete your knowledge of music theory and particularly rhythm when necessary.
