I have a diploma from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Paris (CNSMDP) as well as a diploma from Yale University. Having won several international competitions, I have regularly been invited to participate in festivals as a soloist or in chamber music, both in France and abroad. In 2020, I recorded a CD dedicated to Frédéric Chopin. My classes are open to all levels. Whatever your experience, I will be able to adapt to your needs.

I am a piano teacher with over 30 years of experience, passionate about nurturing musical talent at every age and level. I have taught at esteemed institutions such as the Franz Schubert Conservatory in Vienna, and many of my students have gone on to succeed in auditions at top conservatories like the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hannover. My students have also won national and international competitions including Premio Crescendo (Florence), Prima la Musica (Austria), the Grand Prize Virtuoso (Los Angeles, New York, Vienna, Berlin, Salzburg), and the Brno Mozart International Piano Competition. Over the years, I have developed a unique and effective method for teaching young children, starting from age 3, all the way to university-level students and adult beginners. My approach focuses on developing a strong ear and making learning both joyful and fulfilling. Outside of teaching, I love spending time outdoors with my dogs, reading, playing tennis, and enjoying time with my daughter.

I can show you how to have fun with the piano. If you're a beginner, I can take you right from step one and have you playing familiar songs by the 1st or 2nd lesson. I've been playing and studying piano since age 6 (over 25 years ago). I began with classical music, and later added Ragtime, Jazz, Blues, Pop, Rock, and Chord theory. I still learn from different Highly Accomplished Musicians, I believe learning never stops. I have much to share with my students. TEACHING STYLE I am a very patient teacher. I love teaching all ages. I don't teach everyone the same way. I tailor lessons according to individual goals and needs. I insist on the importance of technique and musicality. I also guide all my students even outside of the teaching time, by responding to all their questions (music theory or technical) and sending them videos. I teach how to prevent Piano Injuries by focusing on proper technique, posture, and practice habits. My professional experience includes coaching students of all levels and ages. I successfully prepared the students with their Piano Exams like ABRSM, Trinity Grade, from grade 1-8, with merits and distinctions, and more advanced exams as well (Performance Diplomas). I teach for the Enjoyment of Music as well. I believe you can learn to play the piano at any age. My oldest student is over 75 years old and my youngest one has 3 years old. They made great progress, I am sure you could do the same. I've never met anyone who didn't have musical abilities! You can be a serious or a recreational player. The only requirement is the willingness to spend some time at the piano. I conduct my lessons using a combination of 4 cameras for optimum visibility, and a quality microphone which my students find very helpful. This allows them to see a very clear visual demonstration alongside my verbal explanation. I can confidently say that Online Lessons are the same as In-Person Lessons. CURRICULUM I do not believe one method works for all students. I have used many different lesson books and resources over the years. For beginners I like to use Alfred method books for basics concepts and for Classical and Jazz Piano technique I like to use ABRSM books (grade 1-8). If my student feels that they can learn better from another books, I am glad to adapt my teaching strategies to their needs. Along with the lesson books below, I use a lot of supplemental materials based on the students' interests. I also aim to teach their favorite songs as soon as possible. I like to clearly explain and demonstrate piano technique. In this way, the students are able to apply the information on similar passages from all genres of music. My name is Denise and I'm a professional singer with a singing master's degree from Catalonia's Music College (ESMUC) specialized in Historical Singing, Musicology and Music Education. My experience runs mostly in early and chamber music, nevertheless I also have the experience and knowledge of popular musical styles such as Latin-American folk, jazz and musicals. As a docent or vocal coach I've collaborated with different academic institutions and private artistic projects, focusing mostly on international students or social integration programs. My main goal is to help the student discover her or his voice while enjoying making music. No experience is needed, just bring your enthusiasm and favorite music. I am a professional violinist. I graduated with distinction at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels (Master) and hold a Bachelor Diploma from Codarts (Rotterdam). I also pursued a masters degree in Music Education at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I teach students of all ages and levels. I have thirteen years of teaching experience in the Netherlands and in Belgium ( privately and at music schools/muziekacademies). In my lessons I help the students to find a good contact with the instrument and cultivate a positive relationship with music by integrating the development of aural skills, sense of rhythm and an optimal body use, enabling them to connect with their musical imagination.
