I am a double bass player based in the city of Leuven.
I recently obtained my third master in music in double bass at the LUCA School of Arts – Campus Lemmens.
I am currently working as a double bass tutti in the Brussels Philharmonic and i am the bass player of the ensembleDRE.
As a double bass player i have played in different amateurs and young Orchestras like NJO, the junge-deutsch franzosische philarmonie and Futurorchestra, and with professional Orchestras like Casco Phil and Ataneres Ensemble.
As a teacher i have taught pop music and electric bass in Italy.
Through my experiences , concerning different kinds of music, i would like to approach the double bass and/or electric bass to people of any age.
At the same time, I can offer clearly structured lessons to students of any age, interested in classical music repertoire but also in other genres as pop and rock.

The lessons can be conducted in English or Italian.

I am a professional musician, bassist and guitarist. I give lessons at my home in La Hulpe, for beginners as well as for those who already have a low level. Children are welcome. Lessons for adults too, beginners and advanced. My lessons are more oriented towards live and practical side of things, for fast results. Having also taught the piano for several years to about fifteen different students, I am also available to give bass and fretless bass lessons at my home (George Henri, 1200), or to come to the student's house. I also teach the music theory necessary for a good learning of the bass.

A seasoned and passionate musician since the age of 15, I gave my first lessons more than 10 years ago. I am an excellent pedagogue, and I adapt to the level of the student, whether in terms of technical mastery of the instrument, ability to read notes (or tablature), as well as understanding music theory and of the theory. I put myself at the service of the student, his level and his tastes and musical projects. I have a thorough knowledge of music theory, particularly in jazz, and a long experience of playing together (jazz, rock and progressive metal). Hello, my name is Victor, I am 24 years old and I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels. I play in different musical projects with artists such as Youssef Swatt's, Lena Deluxe, Bim Boom Bap... My teaching focuses on spontaneous and mainly oral learning of music. There is no need to know music theory. I will discuss some theoretical notions depending on what we are working on together, and your curiosity on this subject. I would emphasize listening, rhythm and playing in pairs. There will be part of the work devoted to instrumental technique (how to get a beautiful sound out of the instrument, how to play without getting tired or injured, what are the different ways of making a guitar/bass guitar sound depending on the style) , and the rest of the time we can work on pieces, tackle improvisation, group playing, composition, or other subjects depending on your requests.

My musical journey:

I am currently a student at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in jazz and before that I spent 2 years at the Conservatoire à Rayonnement Régional de Lille in jazz bass/double bass and classical double bass. I also graduated from EF2M in Tourcoing.

I started music at the age of 8 with the piano, then I turned to the guitar at 12 and then to the electric bass at 16. When I entered the Lille Conservatory, I also took up the double bass.

I practiced several styles: jazz, rock, blues, metal, classical, soul, funk, etc... and the fact of having played several instruments helps me to have a more global vision of music, and to find what is interesting in each of the styles. This openness I want to pass on in my classes.
I have several years of stage experience with different projects, and I have also worked in the studio, notably with the house music artist Bellaire.

Education suitable for everyone

We offer private or small group lessons for people of all ages.
The guitar or bass lessons are developed from the requests of the students who can bring the pieces of music they want to play, with or without adaptation to the level of this student.

The musical styles can be very varied: rock, French song, accompaniment, folk, etc ...
No prerequisites are required (no music theory), the useful theoretical notions are given from the chosen musical pieces.

Each year, we organize a great student show, which allows everyone, whatever their level, to get on the board in a friendly way and try their hand at showing the full extent of their talent!

My name is Rodrigo Fuentealba, I’m a professional guitarist - Fuzztones, Arsenal, Novastar, Gabriel Ríos, Fifty Foot Combo, Manngold - I play in little dark venues as well as Werchter and Forest National in bands whose genre ranges from Rock'n Roll, blues, surf, punkrock, postpunk, jazz, latin, garage, pop, soul, folk, country, psychedelica, impro, solos and anything in between and beyond, anything as long as it’s good and fun ! I have a solid experience as a guitar teacher as i’ve worked for 10 years at the PXL Music Conservatory, which produces most of the professional bands coming out of Belgium, as well as at the Merelbeke Music Academy. I also produce music, write music scores for theater, movies, adverts and contemporary dance.

I got into music because it is fun to play an instrument, it makes you feel good, it’s creative, inspiring, and it connects you to other people.
