Sarah M’Punga is an internationally experienced mezzo-soprano who has performed in major opera theatres and festivals, including the Arena di Verona and the International Festival d’Opéra d’Avenches, as well as important productions in Europe, China and Japan.

She holds a Diploma in Artistic Singing from the E. F. Dall’Abaco Conservatory of Verona and furthered her professional training through the AMER Academy / professional singers’ courses at Teatro Regio di Parma under Maestro Carlo Bergonzi.

Her repertoire includes major mezzo-soprano roles such as Carmen, Amneris, Azucena, Eboli, Ulrica, Dalila and Maddalena, with extensive experience in the Italian and international operatic repertoire.

**Ma méthode**

Mon approche pédagogique est directement nourrie par mon expérience de chanteuse lyrique professionnelle et par les nombreuses années passées sur les scènes d’opéra, dans les festivals et au contact de grands chefs d’orchestre, metteurs en scène et artistes.

Je considère que chaque voix est unique et qu’il n’existe pas une méthode identique pour tous. Mon travail commence donc par l’écoute attentive de l’élève, de sa voix, de ses possibilités naturelles, de ses difficultés et de ses objectifs. Je cherche avant tout à construire une technique vocale saine, libre et durable, qui permette à la voix de se développer sans tensions inutiles.

Le travail peut porter sur la respiration, le soutien, l’émission, la résonance, la liberté vocale, la musicalité, le legato, la diction, le phrasé et l’interprétation. Mais la technique n’est jamais une fin en soi : elle doit être au service de la musique, du texte et de l’expression artistique.

Je souhaite transmettre aux élèves non seulement des exercices vocaux, mais surtout une manière de comprendre leur propre instrument et de travailler avec intelligence et conscience. Le répertoire est abordé en fonction du niveau, de la nature de la voix et des objectifs de chacun, qu’il s’agisse d’études, de conservatoire, d’auditions, de concours, de concerts, de préparation d’un rôle ou d’un projet professionnel.

Après une carrière internationale, je souhaite aujourd’hui transmettre ce que la scène m’a appris concrètement : comment développer une voix libre, comment aborder un rôle, comment travailler une partition, comment construire une interprétation et comment trouver une véritable confiance artistique.

Mon objectif est d’accompagner chaque chanteur dans la construction d’une voix personnelle, consciente et expressive, en réunissant **technique, musicalité, interprétation et expérience scénique**.
Education
**Ma formation**

Je suis diplômée en **Chant Artistique du Conservatoire de Musique « E. F. Dall’Abaco » de Vérone**, où j’ai développé les bases de ma formation vocale et musicale.

J’ai ensuite approfondi ma préparation professionnelle dans le cadre de l’**AMER Academy et des cours académiques destinés aux chanteurs professionnels du Teatro Regio di Parma**, sous la direction du **Maestro Carlo Bergonzi**, l’une des figures majeures de la tradition vocale italienne et du répertoire verdien.

Ma formation s’est également développée à travers une longue expérience professionnelle sur la scène internationale. J’ai travaillé avec des chefs d’orchestre tels que **Gianandrea Noseda, Alain Lombard, Daniel Oren, Marcello Viotti, Steven Mercurio, Donato Renzetti et Massimo De Bernart**, ainsi qu’avec des metteurs en scène tels que **Liliana Cavani, Franco Zeffirelli, Hugo De Ana, Lorenzo Mariani, Pierluigi Pizzi, Gabriele Lavia et Giuliano Montaldo**.

Cette formation académique, complétée par l’expérience concrète de nombreuses productions d’opéra, de concerts et de tournées internationales, constitue aujourd’hui la base de mon approche pédagogique.

Je souhaite transmettre aux chanteurs non seulement les connaissances techniques acquises au cours de ma formation, mais également les enseignements que seule l’expérience professionnelle permet d’acquérir : le travail du répertoire, la préparation d’un rôle, la relation entre technique et interprétation, ainsi que les exigences concrètes de la scène.
Expérience / Qualifications
### Expérience

Mezzo-soprano lyrique professionnelle, j’ai développé une carrière internationale dans les principaux répertoires de mezzo-soprano, avec des productions dans d’importants théâtres, festivals et institutions musicales en Italie et à l’étranger.

J’ai notamment chanté à l’Arena di Verona et au Festival d’Opéra d’Avenches, ainsi que dans des productions en Espagne, Belgique, Autriche, Allemagne, Russie, Mexique, Chine, Japon et Suisse. Mon répertoire comprend notamment Carmen, Amneris, Azucena, Eboli, Ulrica, Dalila, Maddalena, Charlotte et Olga.

Au cours de ma carrière, j’ai travaillé avec des chefs d’orchestre et metteurs en scène de renommée internationale et participé à des productions sous la direction artistique de personnalités telles que Franco Zeffirelli, Liliana Cavani, Hugo De Ana, Lorenzo Mariani, Pierluigi Pizzi et Gabriele Lavia.

Parallèlement à mon activité de chanteuse, j’ai développé une expérience dans l’enseignement vocal, notamment à travers des activités pédagogiques, des masterclasses et des formations destinées aux chanteurs. J’accompagne aujourd’hui des étudiants, jeunes chanteurs, professionnels et amateurs souhaitant développer leur technique vocale, leur répertoire, leur interprétation et leur préparation aux auditions ou aux concerts.

Mon enseignement s’appuie directement sur l’expérience acquise au cours d’une carrière professionnelle internationale : chaque voix est différente et nécessite une approche personnalisée, attentive à la technique, à la musicalité et aux objectifs de chaque chanteur.
