I offer relaxed, conversation-based French lessons for beginners to advanced speakers. We’ll focus mainly on speaking, pronunciation, vocabulary and confidence, using real conversations and topics that actually interest you.
Each lesson is adapted to your level and goals, whether you’re learning French for travel, work, studies, moving abroad, or simply because you love the language.
I can also explain and practise basic grammar when needed, but my lessons are not traditional grammar classes. The idea is to get you speaking French as much as possible and feeling increasingly comfortable doing it.
As a native French speaker from France, I can also help you with natural expressions, pronunciation and the little differences between textbook French and the French you’ll actually hear in everyday life.
Lessons can be held in French or English, depending on your level.

Hi! I’m Baya, a native French speaker from the South of France, currently living in Sydney.
I love travelling, discovering new cultures and meeting people from different backgrounds. I’m also a big reader, love spending time by the ocean, and I’m always happy to discover a good café :)
Having lived abroad for several years myself, I know that learning a language is very different from actually feeling comfortable speaking it. That’s why I like creating relaxed lessons where you can talk, make mistakes, ask questions and progressively become more confident in French.

Education
I studied Political Science in the South of France and spent a year in Rome as part of the Erasmus programme. I then completed a Master’s degree in Business Management and Strategic Marketing in Berlin.
Having studied and lived in several countries, I’ve also experienced language learning myself and understand the challenges of becoming comfortable speaking a foreign language.

Expérience / Qualifications
I have around 3 years of experience teaching French, mainly through conversation-based lessons with adults and young people, from beginner to advanced levels.
My lessons focus primarily on conversation, pronunciation, vocabulary and speaking confidence. We can work on everyday French, discuss topics that interest you, improve your accent and pronunciation, or simply practise speaking naturally with a native French speaker.
