Private Cello and Music Theory Lessons for kids and adults

This class is aimed for children between the ages of 8-13 who would like to begin developing their vocal technique and find their own unique voice early whilst working in a group scenario. My Group Singing workshop is a mixture of improvisation and technique. Add to that the fun singing with other like-children and you’re looking at a contender for the highlight of your week! This class is designed to build confidence and promote individual personal and social development and is taught in a fun yet disciplined way. With a minimum of 4 students and a maximum of 6 students per class each student will have the opportunity to perform a solo song and also a group song each week with individual feed back and technique advice each week.

Hi, I'm Nikos, a guitar teacher with over 12 years of experience and a Master's degree in classical guitar performance from the Conservatory of Brussels. I have taught over 100 students, providing individualized lessons and personalized attention to every one of them. Je m'appelle Marie et je suis étudiante au Conservatoire royal de Bruxelles dans la classe de Marie Hallynck. Depuis que j'ai décidé de m'engager professionnellement dans la musique, l'enseignement m'a toujours beaucoup attirée. J'ai eu la chance d'avoir plusieurs élèves à la fois en violoncelle et en solfège. La transmission de la musique par l'apprentissage est quelque chose qui me passionne et me tient à cœur. Je souhaite que les cours de violoncelle soient un plaisir pour l'élève, qu'il y joue des œuvres qu'il aime et y découvre de nouveaux horizons ! Mon but est qu'il soit à l'aise avec son instrument. J'adapterai mon enseignement à son niveau, ses objectifs et ses envies. Je peux aussi donner des cours de soutien à des personnes étudiant dans une académie. Par ailleurs, j'enseigne le solfège.

My name is Juliette, a young professional violinist who obtained my master's degree at the Brussels Conservatory in 2018 in the class of Shirly Laub. With my experience, I offer violin and music theory lessons. I have been teaching the violin for 10 years, while continuing my activity as a substitute at the National Orchestra of Belgium and at the Brussels Philharmonic. I adapt my lessons to each student, by offering courses focused on technique or more free, according to each person's expectations. My adaptability extends to all levels and all ages!

Originally from Auvergne and Paris, I am currently pursuing my musical journey at the Royal Conservatory of Brussels in Marie Hallynck's class. I hold a Diploma in Musical Studies in cello, obtained at the Regional Conservatory of Rueil-Malmaison in the Paris region. My teaching experience: private cello teacher, cello teacher within the French organization Orchester à l'Ecole, whose objective is to allow easier accessibility to classical music for children who are far from it, piano teacher , music theory teacher. Depending on the level of the student, I put in place an adapted work program, which combines non-exhaustively: 1/ learning the necessary bases in music theory in order to be able to read music, to be comfortable with a score 2/ of course, cello practice, one step after the other! 3/ initiation to improvisation 4/ initiation to singing. My primary objective is to allow my students to be comfortable with a score, but also to be comfortable without it. This will allow expressivity and the development of their sensitivity, their creativity, their musicality. Music delights us, makes us happy, liberates us, soothes us, calms us... I am a professional cellist, I adapt to your objectives and your practice time. Your motivation fuels mine to pass on my experience. With classical training, it is nevertheless possible to explore any type of repertoire and create cello ensembles. My classes are mainly in French. My level of English or Russian is good.

Diplômé du conservatoire royal de Bruxelles en Master d’alto, auparavant du Conservatoire de Paris avec un prix (DEM), un prix de perfectionnement, et une Licence (Bachelor) professionnelle d’Alto. Je détiens également une Licence de Musicologie à la Sorbonne Paris IV. Ayant donné de nombreux cours à de jeunes élèves des conservatoires parisiens, j’ai déjà une bonne expérience dans l’enseignement musical. This course is for anyone who wants to learn to read music or improve their music theory. It is also intended for students in academies who want a support course. It is possible to work on hearing exercises (dictations, intervals), reading (7 keys if necessary), rhythm, singing and transposition for the most advanced students.

I offer cello and music lessons at home for all ages from 7 years old, beginner or not. As an indication, I like working with the Feuillard method, I of course adapt to the desires and objectives of each student. Le cours de guitare Basse, de Solfège ou de piano permettra d'avoir une initiation pour une personne n'ayant aucune notion là dessus ou n'étant pas forcément étrangère à certains concepts liés autour de l'instrument. Le travail sera effectué par étapes en tenant compte du niveau de l'élève, l'objectif poursuivi ainsi que le temps dédié, tout cela de manière structurée, ludique et en prenant surtout du plaisir. Il sera question des éléments basiques tels que les majeurs/mineurs, les gammes, les intervalles, etc.. Ce travail progressif mis en place consolidera les fondations pour développer l'apprentissage au fil du temps. Informations supplémentaires - L'essentiel est d'avoir une guitare basse ou piano selon l'élève. - Concernant la théorie, il n'est pas nécessaire de connaître le solfège pour l'instrument, le choix revient à l'élève. - Être motivé à apprendre est l'une des clés pour réussir.
